What is Known

Lupus Maxius comes from a family bound by tradition, descending from a long line of Plainsfolk provisioners in Limsa Lominsa.Born in Costa Del Sol, Lupus fell in love with the sea. His parents instilled in him the importance of helping others and respecting the sea for all that it provides.His father and mother believed that through helping others, Vylbrand could one day become a maritime power and see an end to the violence among pirates in Limsa Lominsa. It is with this goal in mind that his parents volunteered and joined the Trade Sails division of the Maelstrom.Lupus lost his parents to an Imperial ambush when they attempted to smuggle arms to Doman Resistance forces through the Ruby Sea. Left heartbroken, yet fostered by the loving community of his youth he set off to join the Maelstrom to follow in the footsteps of his mother and father.Records of Lup's activity and captivity in the Maelstrom are not public knowledge. Only that he was one of a few of his crew that returned from a mission of unknown circumstance. Ever since this moment Lupus Maxius would volunteer for any missions that involved fighting the Imperials.As a result of his parents death and his own imprisonment, Lupus is a staunch nationalist. He cares little for the affairs of other nations, besides those affairs that coincide with a united Vylbrand.The renown Lupus gained from his many clashes with Imperials, along with his desire to put Vylbrand on the map caught the eye of one of his best friends, Kaito Nagano; who invited him on an expedition to help scout Garlemald for the Grand Company of Eorzea.Lupus Maxius returned from their first scouting mission, but not as the Plainsfolk he once was. The Maelstrom released public record showing that Lupus Maxius was a victim of a soul transfer due to experimental Telophoroi weaponry. Needless to say, very few people believe that this occurred and think that maybe Lupus died in Garlemald.Now occupying the body of an unknown Viera male, Lupus attempts to navigate his old life in this new shell and respect the body of the man who gave his life for the greater good.

Just know that I am easy to talk with and love hearing about your new characters or ideas!RP Information -Lore-Flexible - I am comfortable with adhering to the lore in most cases. However, enjoyment and excitement in what you are writing is better than adhering to rigid structure if that structure is not conducive to the goal of having a good time. Lupus OOC died in Garlemald and was soul transferred by another PC. If you find this is too lore-breaking for you, that's cool. Just respect the decisions of other RP'ers, thanks!Extended Family - Lupus is a very slice of life character with a distraught past. Plainsfolk in the lore are treated as very social and to be on good terms with other groups. With this in mind I continue the tradition that Lupus is a character that can welcome yours with open arms, depending on their activities of course.Yes: I am comfortable with slice of life, adventuring, grim dark, mature and sexual themes. Comfortable with scarring, long-term captivity.No: I am currently not doing permanent character death or limb dismemberment. I am not comfortable with any sexual assault, or any of those themes involving minors. Sorry I am not open to ERP'ing. Lupus can make a great wing-man or perhaps someone to confide in but I have no current interest in doing those activities.Ask about anything else!

Maelstrom - If your character is active in the Maelstrom or works with any of those in the Trade Sails, its likely they could have served together. Lupus is currently doing administrative tasks for the Trade Sails in Limsa Lominsa, but any outfit with connections to trade would have a good reason to interact with him.Prisoner of War - Has your character ever been imprisoned by Imperials? Lupus worked hard through his traumatic PoW experience, in which he rarely talks about what specifics. Maybe your character is looking for someone to talk to or to learn more about a friend who died under his command. Maybe just two people that have suffered in the same way that want to share a drink.Sushi-Lovers - Does your character love Sushi? Lupus had sushi one day in his younger years and within a week he vowed to make it popular in Vylbrand. That childhood dream led to the creation of the Sushi-Max! Perhaps your character might have met him at his restaurant.Grand Company of Eorzea - If your character was involved with the incursion into Garlemald, it's possible they could have crossed one another, before his horrible accident.Doppleganger - Would your character recognize the body of the Viera that now hosts Lup's soul? Perhaps your character's aetheric visions are perplexed at this odd specimen. Knowledge of soul transference can open up a realm of knowledge and possibilities!Orphanage - When Lupus lost his parents, life was extremely difficult. This difficulty would later demand him to pay it forward to those unfortunate to suffer the same fate. Perhaps you worked for an Orphanage or you or someone you know benefitted from his donations.Friend of a Friend - Perhaps your character is involved in some sort of backroom deal in Limsa Lominsa. Chances are Lupus knows the usual suspects or can assist in your respectable business practices. As long as they don't threaten the interests of the Maelstrom, everything is workable.Anything Else - Feel free to message any ideas you have! Any long-term background between the characters would need to be discussed but I am open to it!
